The best I could find were steps to change the template of the blog to a single page then save it as html, however, asking my wife to change her template would kind of spoil the surprise! So, necessity being the mother of my application development, I coded up a little tool to do it for me. Introducing Blog2PDF !<br /><br /><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://www.samuraicode.com/uploaded_images/blog2pdf-743684.JPG" border="0" /><br /><p>You just point it at your blog and click the button, in a minute or two a PDF will pop up, how easy is that?</p><p>You can grab the installer <a href="http://www.samuraicode.com/shuttle/Blog2PDF-Installer.exe">here</a>.<br /></p><p>The installer will put a folder on your desktop which has the app in it, when you're done, you can save off your PDF and just delete the whole folder. </p><p>Let me know how it works for you and what features I need to add.</p><p>A couple notes:</p><ul><li>This is a .NET app so you will need the framework, which I have a link to on the right. </li><li>It is mainly aimed at Blogger blogs, and even then it won't work on all of them, if you have trouble let me know and I'll update my templates to try and make it work</li><li>It will only support 2 pictures per post, if there are more than that, they just get ignored</li><li>Really long posts will run off the page, I will be updating that soon, gimme a break, it's free!</li></ul><p>Some large companies use <a href="http://www.investintech.com/products/server/absolutepdfserver/absolutepdfservermain/">PDF server</a> software but you only need to use good <a href="http://electron.mit.edu/~gsteele/pdf/">PDF conversion</a> software to get the same benefit. In the Options menu you can now tell deskFlickr to start playing when it is launched. You can still use the normal tag lists (ex. 'seattle,space needle'), but if you want to mix things up, you can have multiple sets separated by semicolons !(ex. 'seattle,space needle;boston;las vegas,bellagio')<br /><br />Hope this increases your desktop background fun!<br /><br />As always, right click on the link at the right and save to your desktop to run. No installers necessary!<br /><br />PS: I also added borders for when photos are smaller than your desktop. Wow, did I just say that I have free time ? Weird. Okay, the first thing I'm putting up here is a little utility I wrote to change my desktop wallpaper to random photos from Flickr, I call it <strong><a href="http://www.samuraicode.com/shuttle/deskFlickr.exe">deskFlickr</a></strong>. You simply enter some tags you want to search for, choose a delay and hit Play. Voila, your desktop changes. It minimizes to the system tray to unclutter your desktop. I put in all the features I wanted but feel free to ask for more. You'll find a download link in the sidebar, so enjoy.
